Walk with the Ancestors
A Samhain Ceremony & Firewalk in the Lake District
Some of us are carrying more than our own story.
The grief that never got its goodbye. The patterns we inherited without choosing. The quiet feeling that something needs to end before something new can begin.
As we move towards Samhain, the Celtic New Year, the veil between the worlds is said to be at its thinnest. Our ancestors feel closer. And we are invited to stop, to remember, and to decide what we take with us into the dark half of the year.
On Saturday 24th October, I’m gathering just 20 of us around the fire.
Small on purpose. So every person is seen, held and heard.
Together we will honour those who walked before us, lay down what was never ours to carry, and step forward with only the strength, wisdom and love that will serve us.
The fire is the threshold.
Across many traditions, fire is where we bring our prayers, our grief and our gratitude. Crossing it becomes a way of saying: I know where I come from, and I am walking on.
Every step is a reminder that their strength lives in you. That you don’t walk alone. That what was endured before you can become wisdom through you.
Your evening
This is for you if
You don’t have to be spiritual. You don’t have to be brave.
You just have to be willing to show up. Walking the fire is always your choice. You can cross the embers, or you can witness, and both are a full and real part of the night. There is no pressure and nobody is watching to see what you do.
All genders are welcome. Young people 14+
What people say after walking with me
“I feel completely in my power. So many things have shifted for me since the fire walk. I’m blown away. The whole experience was cataclysmic (in a good way) for me. It was amazing to be in and amongst so much beautiful energy. The whole place was buzzing!”
Fay
“I’m filled with all this new energy and confidence in myself. Self Doubt is definitely out! Packed its bags and left! The old me is back, the me I love. Thank you so much.”
Andrea
“I’m feeling more grounded today and inspired in the new direction I’m feeling called to move towards. Feeling so honoured to have shared space and energy with so many wonderful women. I can tell this has played a pivotal part in my new chapter. I feel like a phoenix rising from the ashes.”

Why me?
I’m Jen Maxwell. I’m a Reiki & Shamanic practitioner and teacher, rooted in Celtic land based traditions and living in the Lake District.
I started guiding fire walks because of my own transformation, and I’ve never lost the love of seeing it happen in other people. Samhain is my favourite festival of the year. At this time the veil is thin and I feel so close to my ancestors, it’s as if I can talk to them for real.
What I love most is watching people meet themselves, and the fire, as they walk. I’d love to share that with you.
