8 week Mindfulness Based Living Course

Beginning with short mindful practices and exercises we learn the foundations of mindfulness, building our practice and understanding weekly to include mindfulness support, self awareness, kindness to ourselves and others, and openness to our human experience. We learn about the habits and patterns of thinking within our minds and how to be with difficult emotions. 

We can all read about the benefits of being mindful but it is only by doing that we truly learn and this course is beautifully structured, to learn by your own, and others, experience.

Mindfulness has truly transformed my life from a ‘human doing’; someone who was always busy, thinking about the future and ‘what’s next?’, to appreciating the now, being truly grateful for whatever I experience in my life and actually sometimes able to be a ‘human being’! I can’t imagine my life without mindfulness now!

Course Structure

The course includes:

8 x (approx) 2 hour classes

A day retreat between weeks 6-7

A follow up session approx 1 month after the course

Introductory Session – What is Mindfulness and Why Practice It?

Week 1 – Start Where We Are

Week 2 – The Body as a Place to Stay Present

Week 3 – Introducing Mindfulness Support

Week 4 – Working with Distraction

Week 5 – Exploring the Undercurrent

Week 6 – Attitude of the Observer • Day of Practice

Week 7 – Self-acceptance

Week 8 – A Mindfulness Based Life

Follow Up – The Rest of Your Life

These courses are mostly held on Zoom meaning they can be far reaching across the globe and more inclusive for everyone. The group sessions work really well online and we are able to create a space where we all feel safe and held.
